Rain (YASUKE: A Lost Descendant)
This was for a cinematic and gameplay effect for Dallience Studios on YASUKE: A Lost Descendant. We wanted this effect to work in the movement-intensive gameplay and recognize or warp around meshes with decals. The decals and splashes spawn after a death event to check where to spawn particles.

KRZAP Impact (Punkzilla)
I wanted to create an effect that was heavily influenced by Traditional Comics. I wanted to see if I could also make the impact highly modular and cheap for performance. I found a series of resources that went into depth about SDFs, Signed Distance Fields, and combining them with halftone shaders. I created a small 128x128 resolution texture, broke the texture apart within Photoshop, and RGB-packed to achieve the outcome.

Muzzle Flash
was aimed to be efficient using fake lights and RGB-packed textures. I referenced projects such as Overwatch and Valorant, and t inspected how they implemented their effects. I used a cross-plane mesh with Vertex Color to create cleaner opacity and reduce and flipbook with color parameters that have high values on the textures.

Geode Strike
This striking effect was to combine Environmental and Character Effects. The character is then empowered by the Geode breaking to then enhance their attacking strikes. The target of this effect is to work well for Fighting Games and general combat-like effects.
